Job Overview:

This position will consist of selling our in-house hemp CBD brands and meeting customer needs. You will service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing a daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors. We are looking for an all-around team player that is willing to do whatever it takes to help the team.

Production Tech for Organic Plus Brands

Job Overview:

Organic Plus Brands is seeking a highly motivated individual who works well in a fast-paced environment and can handle a continually varying workload.

Individuals must be able to apply knowledge of food production and packaging in performing a broad range of duties related to the day-to-day operations and production of company products. This includes:

  • The preparation of supplies, materials, and equipment
  • Maintenance of equipment and facilities
  • Organization of facility and products
  • Proper and safe use of equipment and materials.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with Production Team Management for daily production plans, packaging, and maintenance of equipment related to production.
  • Follow all Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and attend training(s) on new procedures and equipment.
  • Record all pertinent information for manufactured products into daily production logs.
  • Provide input to improve daily activities and efficiencies.
  • Prepare product packaging (sanitizing, drying, labeling, etc.) and assemble goods into final packaging.
  • Maintain, clean, sanitize, and properly store production tools and equipment.
  • Follow instructions for set-up and usage of equipment; immediately cease use and report equipment in need of repair.
  • Gather an adequate supply of materials needed for daily production and follow the proper chain of custody procedures (documentation and security) for supplies and ingredients.
  • Enforce and maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA, GMP, and GLP, ensuring proper ingredient storage and handling.
  • Perform basic food preparation to include: mixing, heating, chilling, cutting, and blending various ingredients in a timely fashion to meet daily production demands.
  • Work and communicate effectively with the Production Team to ensure proper dosage amounts and techniques along with troubleshooting and resolving production issues as needed.
  • Demonstrate mid-level knowledge and experience on multiple products.
  • Responsible for maintaining a tour-friendly appearance in production rooms.
  • Properly dispose of garbage at shift end and/or as needed.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Fluent in speaking, reading and writing the English language.
  • Equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Ability to analyze information and read production guides.
  • Focus on quality, lab environment, technical understanding.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills required.
  • High school graduate or equivalent and/or experience working in a commercial food prep kitchen.
  • Possess, or capable of obtaining an Ohio State Approved Production/Processing Permits within 30 days of employment.

Physical Demands:

  • Lift up to 60 pounds, stand, bend and twist throughout shift.
